Sidus Space Secured the Contract with Exo-Space to Deploy Sidus' Edge Technology in Space

Sidus Space, a giant satellite service provider, has been awarded a contract to create Edge Technology for Exo-Space, a company known to produce satellite hardware.

Exo-Space will integrate its AI software technology into Sidus Space's Earth Observation satellites in 2023. In addition, Sidus Space plans to integrate Exo-Space's payload into LizzieSat, its hybrid 3D-printed satellite.

The partnership will allow for ultra-low latency space analytics that provides insights into Earth observation data at greatly enhanced speeds.

Carol Craig, CEO and founder of Sidus Space, believes the partnership will benefit the space industry.

According to Carol Craig, "We are excited to be selected as Exo-Space's deployment partner to provide proof-of-concept for its important technology.

"As part of our mission of bringing space down to earth, we seek to enable customers to prove new technologies that will collaboratively advance the space ecosystem and this agreement with Exo-Space is perfectly aligned with our mission."

Exo-Space CEO and co-founder Jeremy Allam pointed out: "The shared vision between our companies provides a path to pair our computing technology with Sidus' spacecraft resources, enabling the delivery of intelligence that will help to effectively address existing global crises, as well as those that present themselves in the future."

The companies plan to deploy additional sensors and computational power in the following missions and upgrade communications and networking.

"The ability to maintain sub-minute awareness of activity anywhere on Earth or in space will revolutionize commercial and government operations. Additionally, our intelligent tasking platform will enable accessibility of this information to a much broader audience," Allam added.

Sidus Space won a gold award at the 2022 Merit Awards for Technology in the space category.
