Washington D.C., September 8th, 2022: International Data Center Authority (IDCA) met with international diplomatic delegations in Washington D.C. The IDCA delegation was received by the Ambassador Of Sultanate of Oman, Dr Sayyid Ahmed bin Hilal bin Saud Al Busaidi and the embassy’s senior staff at Sultan Qaboos Cultural Center.

During the visit, the IDCA delegation toured among artifacts and cultural heritage of Oman. Subsequently, the Ambassador gave a speech and explained the natural and economical advantages of Oman as a prominent nation in the GCC. The IDCA delegation and the Oman embassy discussed the potential of the digital economy and exchanged collaborative resources and prospects. The Omani embassy hosted the IDCA delegation over lunch.

The IDCA delegation was received by the Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office. During the meeting the IDCA team was briefed about the current state of Hong Kong and its standing in the digital trade corridor as well as infrastructure and policies it has put in place in order to attrace foreighn investment.

Finally the Malaysian embassy received the IDCA delegation at the Malaysian Embassy in Washington D.C. The discussions covered topics such as digital economy, strategy, policy, education, infrastructure, and bilateral collaborations between the two institutions to help Malaysia step into the modern era as effectively as possible.

IDCA delegation included IDCA Chairman, Mehdi Paryavi, IDCA Finance Counsel, Winston Ma, IDCA Legal Counsel, Ashley Pridemore, IDCA Strategy Counsel, Nataliya Wright, IDCA Information Systems Counsel, Marshall Van Alstyne, Head of Research and Sustainability, Bruce Armstrong, Global Head of Memberships and Community, Lizabeth Hood, Chairman of IDCA Technical Standards Committee, Rich Banta, Director of North America, Kurtis Friesen, as well as IDCA chief consultants, technologists, and promotion specialists. The visits and the meetings were an enormous success for the IDCA delegation and the progression of the digital infrastructure industry.
