Kuala Lumpur – November 10, 2023 - IDCA is continuing its work in Asia to deliver comprehensive data center training, in nations that are increasingly active in developing their Digital Economies. “Use cases, experiences, the use of new and future technologies, methodologies, ideas and opinions about the future of Digital Economies were shared and discussed at several events,” according to IDCA Chief Technical Officer, Rich Banta, DCA®.

A busy week in Kuala Lumpur featured young infrastructure professionals students earning their DCIS® certifications. “All of our students take back to their organizations an enriched knowledge of mission-critical infrastructure systems and an increased understanding of the best practices and future trends,” Banta said.

The Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation (MDEC) sponsored a strategic Digital Infrastructure and Digital Economy discussion and knowledge workshop during the week, covering the advanced principles of modern datacenter operations.

The closed-door roundtable discussion brought together key stakeholders from the public, private, and academic sectors to engage in meaningful conversations and strategic planning to promote the development of the thriving sustainable data center economy in Malaysia.

The session was lead by Mehdi Paryavi and Rich Banta, and moderated by MDEC’s SVP Digital Investments, Raymond Siva, and Head of Digital Infrastructure, Tze Meng Tan.

IDCA's Jessica Ho, Manager of Training and Membership Programs at IDCA ASEAN and IDCA head of ASEAN Shah Sidek also participated in the activities in Malaysia. “We are pleased to be working with the world-class organization MDEC to continue Malaysia's Digital Economy momentum,” said Sidek at the conclusion of the week's activities.

Dubai and Africa, Too
Additionally, IDCA recently hosted DCTP® technology professional and DCOM® operations management training and certification in separate events in Dubai, UAE. This training featured a group of operations professionals from Ethiopia as well.

IDCA's certified DCIS® training will now move on to Africa, for a 2-day session in Lagos, Nigeria is on November 27 and 28.
