IDCA Welcomes Patrick McKenney to the Technical Standards Committee
Washington D.C., July 14, 2020: International Data Center Authority (IDCA) today announces that Patrick McKenney of NTT has joined the IDCA Technical Standards Committee.
"Data centers have always been a place, or thing that has fascinated me, ever since very early on my career, and I still have a feeling of adventure when I am able to visit a data center facility that is new to me. I'm thrilled to be part of the IDCA standards committee and to be able to help support, promote and enhance this part of the technology sector.", stated Patrick McKenney upon joining the IDCA Technical Standards Committee.
Patrick McKenney leads the execution of data center and virtualization strategies for the Cloud Communications division of NTT Ltd; ensuring that operations and implementation is aligned with the company’s mission to help our customers build smarter workspaces. Managing a data center footprint currently encompassing 22 data centers in 14 countries has given Patrick a broad perspective on the factors which can impact the running of a global cloud infrastructure, whether those are technical, operational or cultural.
Patrick over the last 20 years of his IT career has had a focus in infrastructure support, design and implementation. Extensive experience in data centers and datacenter management, virtualization, building virtual infrastructure, migrating to virtual systems and Public and Private Cloud environments.
