IDCA has appointed Rich Banta as the Chairman of the Technical Standards Committee of IDCA
Washington D.C., Aug. 25, 2020: International Data Center Authority (IDCA) today announces that it has appointed Rich Banta as the Chairman of the Technical Standards Committee of IDCA.
"It is a huge honor for me to assume the Chairmanship of IDCA’s prestigious Technical Standards Committee. As a 20+ year industry veteran, I am grateful and proud for the opportunity to be a part of IDCA’s mission to lead the way in propelling the science of application delivery via all the elements of the Application Ecosystem such as the data center and cloud infrastructure. I am committed to doing all that is necessary to help our industry modernize its standards to meet today's uptime, availability, and security challenges”, stated Rich Banta on the occasion of becoming the Chairman of the IDCA Technical Standards Committee.
Rich Banta is a certified Data Center Authority (DCA)®️. Mr. Banta, possesses decades of industry, standardization, and development experience. He is also an ISACA Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), ISC Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP), and CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP).
When asked about Mr. Banta’s appointment as the Technical Committee’s Chair, IDCA Chairman, Mehdi Paryavi, stated “Rich is an excellent resource for our industry. We are pleased to have him take on the role of the Chairman of the TSC and are confident that his efforts and inputs will render effective results for the cloud, data center and information technology industry.”
Mr. Banta will be responsible for the development of industry's latest and most effective standardization and compliance documentation at IDCA.
Rich is a former CTO of a major health care system. Rich understands the true stakeholder/end-user requirements of the data center since he has owned and operated data centers hands-on on a daily basis for many years.
