Noted AWS Cloud Economics Leader Saleheh Vahaji Joins IDCA Technical Standards Committee

WASHINGTON, DC – August 24, 2023 – Saleheh Vahaji has joined the IDCA Technical Standards Committee. She is a noted STEM advocate, Women in Tech proponent, and serves as Technical Business Development Manager on the Cloud Economics team for Amazon Web Services WorldWide Public Sector.

“We are pleased to welcome Saleheh to the IDCA Technical Standards Committee,” said Chairman of the IDCA Technical Standards Committee, Rich Banta, DCA®. “She brings a unique perspective to our committee, through her work at AWS and her advocacy of STEM and Women in Tech and cloud economics. Her experience and voice bring a significant strengthening to the committee's critical work of understanding the needs of Digital Infrastructure and the Digital Economy and driving global standards.”

Salehleh holds a BS in Engineering and MS in Finance, and considers herself a bridge between the two worlds of technology and economics. She has also served as an Adjunct Professor at George Washington University.

Through her work on the AWS team, she enables government agencies to quantify the value of their cloud migration while maintaining commitments to diversity and inclusion (D&I). She takes a special interest in inclusive organizational leadership, and the positive psychology approach required to create such an environment.

“I'm an avid advocate of personal development along with D&I, and building that approach throughout organizations,” she said. “Joining with IDCA shows that the organization is in sync with my work, and I am looking forward to working with IDCA and the Technical Standards Committee to continue moving technology and its use forward in a very positive way.”
