Former Amazon Security Manager, Doug Dreher, Joins IDCA Technical Standards Committee
Washington, DC – April 1st, 2025 – IDCA has announced that former Amazon Regional Security Program Manager, Doug Dreher, has joined the organization's Technical Standards Committee, as the AI industry continues to evolve, and emerging standards have attained an even greater importance. Doug has in-depth experience across physical security, antiterrorism initiatives, force protection, intelligence analysis, and data center design and construction.
“I am honored and excited to join the International Data Center Authority’s Technical Standards Committee,” Dreher said in announcing his role with IDCA. “With the acceleration of data center construction globally, I feel it is imperative we strive for standardization and accreditation internationally.”
“The current AI wave is rapidly changing everything that the world knows about data design and operations, and the increasingly complex security challenges they face,” according to IDCA Head of North America Kurtis Friesen. “Collaborative standards are critical as a modern, holistic, and effective set of open standards that address AI, application, and Cloud needs, to bring transparency and enable simplified decision-making for end-users. Doug's vast experience in the technology industry brings great benefits to the work of the Technical Standards Committee.”
