Avassa and Cysec Join Forces to Design Central Cloud-like Security Similar to the Cloud
The Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission (Cysec) and Avassa have allied to bring a scalable and automated end-to-end security solution that protects both on-premises and cloud-based environments.
As companies increasingly look for hybrid infrastructures that support both cloud and edge networks, it is critical that they keep their data innovative and updated across both centralized and distributed networks.
The joint partnership between Cysec and Avassa aims to provide edge application management that is secure and efficient to meet this goal.
The chief technology officer at Avassa, Carl Moberg, said, "Enterprises are rapidly moving away from legacy edge computing toward treating their distributed locations as an extension of their cloud capabilities."
"As a result, protecting applications and data in edge environments with limited or no perimeter security is rapidly becoming top-of-mind for decision-makers across several verticals."
Combining Cysec's deep hardware and operating system-level security capabilities with Avassa's application-centric management will offer the application teams the same automation and security infrastructure of central clouds at the edge.
Manufacturing, automotive, hospitality, and retail all benefit from integrating a trusted OS with an edge application orchestration platform.
Luca Gabella, the VP of Edge computing, added, "In the retail industry, a massive amount of data is in use, and it must be protected while being processed. Arca Trusted OS is a good fit for this security case study as it brings hardware and OS-hardened security layers into the process where it occurs, i.e., in the shops."
"In addition, its combination with the agility of Avassa's container deployment platform from cloud to edge offers a perfect match to run mission-critical operations in multiple geographies."
