Bloomberg has reported that the Biden Administration may cut off China's Huawei Technologies from all US suppliers, including Intel and Qualcomm. Such a ban would be a decisive follow-up to a policy instituted by the former Trump Administration (that's been retained until now) to require government approval for US suppliers to sell anything to Huawei.

The US already escalated its ongoing tech-trade conflict with China recently by convincing strong allies Japan and the Netherlands to stop selling high-end chip manufacturing equipment to the country.

Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Mao Ning had already said the government “is gravely concerned about the (Japan and Netherlands) report,” at a press conference in Beijing. “China is strongly against the US’s abuse of state power to hobble Chinese companies by stretching the concept of national security,” she added.
