A Green Mountain Data Center in Oslo Data Center Has Completed Its First Multitenant Expansion

Green Mountain has announced the completion of its data center expansion in Oslo, Norway. This data center will offer state-of-the-art colocation services, making it the first multitenant colocation center in the region.

This expansion is part of Green Mountain’s ongoing commitment to providing its customers with the best and most reliable hosting solutions. With its new facility in Oslo, customers can now benefit from a secure and reliable data center.

The facility is managed by a highly experienced team, making it an ideal choice for companies that need a flexible, cost-effective alternative to an in-house server room.

The Nordic data center company has been in the works for over a year with its new data center. Originally set to open in November, it is a staggering 13.5MW data center as part of its OSL1-Enebakk campus.

In January, the colocation facility will receive its first customer. It joins two 4MW data centers designed for single tenants.

A statement released by Green Mountain states that the 10,000 square meters three-story building still has space available to be sold but that most of it has already been rented out. It also can create space in future buildings at the campus, which will be able to house a total of 93 MW.

Tor Kristian Gyland, CEO of Green Mountain, said, "We still experience strong interest from the market. Being able to offer a sustainable data center operated on 100 percent renewable energy is especially attractive for international clients.”

“The site is also ideal both in terms of power availability, connectivity, and proximity to the Norwegian capital. We designed this data center flexibly to accommodate a broad set of clients’ needs. Customization is the keyword." He added.

The expanded data center will provide customers with various benefits, including increased storage capacity, improved speed and efficiency, advanced security and privacy protection, and greater scalability and flexibility. Furthermore, it will allow customers to use cloud solutions such as Amazon Web Services (AWS).

Overall, Green Mountain's data center expansion provides customers various benefits that will help them succeed in their business endeavors. With this new addition, they are well-positioned to meet the growing demand for cloud solutions.

The expansion includes state-of-the-art technologies, including enhanced cooling systems and power distribution units, fire suppression systems and security technologies. In addition to increased space and capacity, Green Mountain has invested in redundant components to ensure maximum uptime.
